i saw a couple of episodes of paanchvi...and felt it lacks the certain sophisticated glamor of KBC. and thats not just coz it involves kids. i had liked the concept to begin with, but then the interest kinda dwindled. but all having said and done, i would say srk is as gracious a host as ever in paanchvi. his way of communicating with the participants, specially the kids, is just superb. he is being modest by calling himself responsible for the lack of popularity of the show. i think whatever popularity the show has received is because of him only. and i dont know what kind of people would object to the fu statement main paanchvi paas se tez nahi hoon...

SRK, by admitting his failure to give the show the required TRPs as was expected of him, is clearly paying the cards safe. He has solved twin purpose by this admission. Firstly, the whole world can see how modest is he. Secondly, Because of this news, there would be many like me, who would like see the show after knowing of his failure, if there is any. On the other hand, i feel it would be unfair to compare the show with KBC where money had a big role to play for the steep increase in the TRPs.

Don’t be so harsh man. SRK doesn’t need to play his cards safe, he is already well established for something like that. He actually is modest and knows how to handle his defeat maturely. I appreciate his efforts a lot. Though am not his fan, I like him as a human being. And, I didn’t feel that Paanchvi Paas was that bad. I guess the blame should go to IPL solely!

Bingo! well done Mayuri, it is the IPL that has ruined the attraction which the show would have otherwise generated. All the reality shows that were doing gr8 have also dipped in the TRP. A cricket crazy nation like India is glued to the TV and tuned into the IPL at all times. SRK is a modest man to take the responsibility but even the Paanchvi pass team should have put in some thought before releasing the show. IPL would be over soon and had the show been released after the mega sporting event getting over, it would have been a sure success.

Yeah I agree with Mayuri, that’s what takes him forward the fact that he doesn’t blame anyone but himself for his failures. When he could have attributed the failure to very many factors that would have been believable he makes Panchvi pass his own baby for he has the guts to own up to his mistakes and come out stronger every time. Way to SRK here is a celeb who can be looked upto for the kind of person he is.

with many of such shows having established stars on them makes viewers unable to catch them. This also becomes a reason of fall of TRP’s. Indeed ongoing IPL tournament is a big blow that has failed to get the show desired ratings.

He deserves the blame for the failure of Paanchvi Paas. With all the focus shifting to IPL, SRK had spent all his energy in promoting his team (quite naturally, since he had invested crores in the team). The result was a jaded SRK in PP and nobody wants to see a mellowed-down SRK, simply because people like him for his energy.
