It is a sham -- a BIG BIG SHAM. The Internet entrepreneurs have realized that old methods don't work. The technology should be more exciting. So we got people involved, with all sorts of old wines in new bottles like AJAX etc. And now everyone is a publisher.

Tim Berners-Lee, who invented the Web has dismissed Web 2.0 as useless jargon that nobody can explain and a set of technology that tries to achieve exactly the same thing as what is now termed as Web 1.0.
